Established in 1890 by Norwegian immigrants, Pacific Lutheran University is a private Christian university situated in the Parkland neighbourhood of Tacoma in Washington. It is sponsored by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. PLU provides 54 minors and 44 majors, along with professional and graduate programs in creative writing, finance, marketing analytics, marriage, education, nursing, business administration, and family therapy.
