  • Northern Illinois University was established in 1895 by Governor John P. Altgeld with its main campus in Dekalb, Illinois. Operating in multiple locations like Chicago, Naperville, and Rockford, Northern Illinois University has seven extensive colleges dealing in business, education, law, health, human science, engineering and technology, liberal arts and sciences, and visual and performing arts.

NIU offers 300+ student organizations, clubs, and active community services, cultural resources centers, and sports clubs for healthy on-campus student life.
