- Midwestern State University is a public university located in the state of Texas, United States. The university was founded in 1922 as the Wichita Falls Junior College. It has since developed into a full fledged university, making it the only public university in Texas dedicated to liberal arts. The staff and professors are extremely knowledgeable about their fields, the competition is fierce but fair and the scholarship opportunities are plentiful. Midwestern State University is everything I've been looking for in an educational experience.
