  • Founded in 1960, Grand Valley State University is a public institution having a total undergraduate enrollment of 21,112 and has a campus size of 1391 acres. It is located just outside the Grand Rapids zone, Michigan's second-biggest metropolitan locale and is ranked 28th in the list of Regional Universities Midwest ( US News and World Report 2021).
  • The university consists of eight-F.E. Seidman College of Business, College of Community and Public Services, College of Education, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Seymour and Esther Padnos College of Engineering and Computing, College of Health Professions, Kirkhof College of Nursing, and Brooks College of Interdisciplinary Studies. 
  • Among the many majors available the most popular majors include Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services; Health Professions and Related Programs; Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs; Psychology; and Parks, Recreation, Leisure, and Fitness Studies. 
  • The university provides various housing options both on and off-campus. It has a traditional-style, suite-style, or apartment-style living center or an actual on-campus apartment with all the basic amenities needed. There is also a provision for campus dining for the students, with some reasonable meal plan options. 
  • There are over 400 student organizations that allow students to engage in extracurricular activities. Some of the clubs include- Advertising Club, Alcohol Drug and Awareness Courses, American Red Cross Club, Arab Culture Club, Baseball Club, and many more. 
  • The total fees including tuition fees, cost of room and board, books and supplies, transportation, and personal expenses for in-state students is 24,460 USD and for out-state students is 29,896 USD. Both need and merit-based scholarships or financial aid are provided by the university. Need-based aid is determined by the student's family's demonstrated ability to pay for college, as calculated by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, known as the FAFSA.
