Frostburg State University is a public university located in Maryland, United States. The university was founded in 1898 as the Frostburg State Normal School 2, with State Senator John Leake being the driving force behind its establishment. Since then, it has become a residential university with three different colleges; College of Business, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and College of Education.
The university offers 47 undergraduate and 16 graduate degrees, apart from multiple specialized study programs and doctoral studies—Maryland, covering an area of 280 acres.
