The SAT/ACT standardised test results are not required for admission to Colorado School of Mines. International students, on the other hand, are encouraged to submit these scores in order to improve their prospects of admission and to participate in NCAA sports. Admission Process

If you are applying straight from high school (regardless of concurrent enrollment, which means college credits earned while in high school), have graduated from high school (and never attended college), have a GED, or have been home-schooled but have not enrolled at a college or university, you are a first-year student.

The institute has eight residence halls, both traditional and suite-style, as well as seven thematic learning communities.
In the fall of 2020, the university expects to establish a new residence hall.
