Clemson University in Clemson, North Carolina, is a public research institute with an acceptance rate of 51% established in 1889. In contrast, the PEER/WISE program aims to mentor students in the science and engineering fields. Study abroad and English Language programs are made available through the Hendrix Center for Education Abroad. The average undergraduate tuition fee is USD 7,560 and USD 19,056 for NC resident and non-resident students. Financial aids include loans, scholarships, grants and student employment like the Federal Pell Grant, Diversity Scholarships, Federal Direct Loan etc. Accommodation is available at Benet, Byrnes Hall, Geer, apartments, suites, and traditional rooms. Eligibility

After high school graduation, transfer applicants must have achieved 30 hours of transferable credit. The 30-hour requirement does not include Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, or dual-enrollment credit. On a 4.0 scale, transfer candidates should have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. 3.0 is recommended. Transfer applicants should take freshman-level English, science, and mathematics courses relevant to their desired major at Clemson. All transfer students must be in good standing and eligible to return to their previous school.

Admission Process

Examine critical dates and deadlines.
Clemson's application will open on August 1st. For Fall entrance, students must submit their application and all relevant credentials by May 1; for Spring entry, students must submit their application and all required credentials by October 1.

Finish the application.
Use the Clemson Application, Coalition Application, or Common Application to submit your application. In the admissions review process, no application is given preference.

The application cost must be paid.
A $70 application fee is required. All major credit cards are accepted at Clemson.

If you are a first-year student and would want to submit test scores, ask The College Board or ACT to send them to you. Transfer students are exempt from this phase.Clemson has implemented a test-optional policy for the 2022 admissions cycle. To be considered for admission to Clemson for the 2022-2023 academic year, applicants do not need to submit a standardised test result.

If you decide to use test results, the testing agency must transmit your results electronically. Clemson's SAT institutional code is 5111, and its ACT institutional code is 3842. Clemson has excellent SAT and ACT results. For the SAT, this means that the highest of the evidence-based reading and writing/math scores will be used to calculate the overall total SAT score.

According to The ACT, "we consider a student's highest ACT section (or subtest) scores regardless of test date" at Clemson.The super composite ACT score is determined as the average of the best ACT English, Reading, Math, and Science subject scores and is one of many variables considered in admission and financial aid."

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or DuoLingo are all used to assess English proficiency. 5111 is Clemson's institutional code.
Transfer applicants who have completed English composition courses I and II equal to Clemson University's ENGL 1030 with a grade of "B" or better are excused from the TOEFL/IELTS requirement. Students whose primary language or one of the official languages is English may also be exempt from taking the test.
