Clemson University in Clemson, North Carolina, is a public research institute with an acceptance rate of 51% established in 1889. After high school graduation, transfer applicants must have achieved 30 hours of transferable credit. The 30-hour requirement does not include Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, or dual-enrollment credit. On a 4.0 scale, transfer candidates should have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. 3.0 is recommended. Transfer applicants should take freshman-level English, science, and mathematics courses relevant to their desired major at Clemson. All transfer students must be in good standing and eligible to return to their previous school.

Clemson has excellent SAT and ACT results. For the SAT, this means that the highest of the evidence-based reading and writing/math scores will be used to calculate the overall total SAT score.
