  • The applicant needs a minimum GPA of 3.0 in college preparation subjects
  • For non-STEM courses, the applicant must have a minimum of 3500 CSULB Index and a minimum of 3600 STEM Index for STEM majors




  • Applicant must be a high school graduate with a regionally accredited bachelor's degree by the conclusion of the Fall semester for Spring enrollment or the beginning of the Summer semester for Fall enrollment
  • The applicant is expected to have a strong academic record from their most recent college or institution
  • An applicant must have an advanced degree or a 2.5 cumulative GPA in their baccalaureate degree or a 2.5 GPA in the previous 60 semesters or 90 quarter units they attempted, omitting any lower-division and extension coursework
  • If they are completing a baccalaureate degree, applicants with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 or at least 2.5 GPA in their last 60 semesters or 90 quarter units are admitted provisionally; this can only happen if they can present documentation of degree completion
