  • Binghamton University, also known as the State University of New York in Binghamton, is a public research university located in the state of New York. Founded in 1946 as the Triple Cities College, it was renamed in 1965 and joined the State University of New York system.

Eligibility

To apply for various undergraduate programmes, the university establishes precise basic eligibility requirements. Applicants must provide a set of undergraduate transcripts as follows:

A bachelor's degree from a college or institution that is nationally or regionally accredited.
Within one year of graduating from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
Binghamton University and the applicant's existing university have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
In addition to the following, applicants must have achieved specified grades throughout their undergraduate studies, such as:

Over the length of your undergraduate studies, you must have a 3.0 GPA.
A 3.0 GPA in the final 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits of the degree is required.
A graduate degree with a 3.0 GPA is usually graded on a regular basis.

All international or non-native students applying to any programme at Binghamton University must submit test scores from one of the following examinations to demonstrate their English language competency. Binghamton University accepts TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic, and Duolingo English Test scores as proof of English competence.

Admission Process

Step 1: Begin your application process by visiting the official website. To begin your online application, go to www.commonapp.org and click on the admissions tab, then select the 'apply now' option. A new window will emerge, with two options: Returning Users and First-time Users.

Step 2: To begin a new application, you must first create an account. You will be asked to provide basic information such as your name, email address, and birth date. After that, enter the PIN that was issued to your registered email address.

Step 3: Complete all of the remaining fields on the application form and upload all of the relevant documents or materials. Make sure you scan all of your documents completely and clearly. The documents should be saved in PDF format.

Step 4: Pay the $75 charge for the application form (USD). All payments can be made with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express cards.

Step 5: After paying your application form fee, double-check all of the details and make sure you've submitted all of the required documentation for overseas students. Then, to apply, click the submit button.

Step 6: Also, submit any application materials that you were unable to upload to the online application, such as GRE or GMAT test scores. Such documents can be emailed to the official email address (gradadmission@binghamton.edu).

Step 7: After submitting your online application, wait for the university's admission decision, which will be given to you via email or published on the university's website.
