- Rudolf Dreikur founded the institute of Adlerian Psychology in 1952 in Chicago, naming it after the physician and psychiatrist Alfred Adler. It was renamed Adler University in 2015. In the field of teaching psychology, Adler University is the oldest independent school in the North American continent.
- Adler University provides degrees in the master of Psychology in collaboration with the Ontario Ministry of Advanced Education and Skill Development, making it the only such degree in Ontario.
