Founded in 1896, Adelphi University was the first private and co-educational university on Long Island. Its main campus was in Garden City, with three other campuses in Hudson Valley, Suffolk County, and Manhattan Centre. The university provides undergraduate, graduate, on-campus, and online programs.
Candidates can choose from over 60 undergraduate courses, including art history, marketing, neuroscience, philosophy, etc., and more than 65 graduate programs in accounting, biotechnology, psychoanalytic supervision, nutrition, etc. Some of the top programs offered by the university are nursing, general psychology, biology, and business administration & management. Some online programs are MA, MS, MSW, BS, and advanced certificate programs in sports, education, management, healthcare informatics, etc.
The university has some facilities, including a fitness center, gym, bookstore, computer labs, library, indoor track, and tennis courts. The university also provides off-campus housing around all four campuses, costing around USD 10,000, including meals and lodging.
The on-campus accommodation offers the best infrastructure with furnished rooms, utilities, Wi-Fi, and laundry facilities. The college organizes career fairs to help students with CVs and interviews to get jobs and internships, and the International Student Associations arrange events in cross-culture.
The fees of the courses offered at the university range from USD 41,500 to USD 46,500 approximately. The university offers merit scholarships, athletic scholarships, need-based grants, federal or state grants, and outside scholarships.
