University of Worcester, (HOLMES EDUCATION GROUP)

The University of Worcester was incorporated in 1948 as Worcester Emergency Teacher Training College. The Privy Council affirmed the degree awarding powers of this institution in 1997, which resulted in its name getting changed to University College Worcester. It received university status in 2005, thereby receiving its present name. The HM Privy Council gave the University of Worcester the power of awarding research degrees in 2010. There are four sprawling campuses of this university that are distributed across Worcester. 

St John's Campus is known to be the site of this university's establishment. It is home to many teaching spaces, sports facilities, and residence halls. It houses the Worcester Students' Union, University's National Pollen, and Aerobiology Research Unit. This campus includes several facilities like AstroTurf pitches, Digital Arts Centre, Drama Studio, a multigym, and a sports hall. This university's City Campus is located at Worcester City Centre. It houses the Hive library, Worcester Business School, McClelland Health and Wellbeing Centre, and Jenny Lind building. The Severn Campus is situated along a riverbank and features the University's Arena, performance analysis suites, modern study facilities, and dance studios. 

The institution’s Lakeside Campus serves as an outdoor learning and activity centre. The University of Worcester consists of nine academic schools. They provide several part-time and full-time UG and PG programs in different fields like humanities, education, arts, sciences, nursing, psychology, allied health, environment, etc. It houses more than 10,800 students, including many international students from different nations across the globe. 

As per the Times Higher Education’s University Impact Rankings, the University of Worcester ranking was within the top 3 in the UK for Quality Education in three consecutive years - 2019, 2020, and 2021. It has also been the No. 1 university in England for gender equality in these three years of rankings. This institution maintains strategic partnerships with several prestigious international and local international institutions. This includes Iron Mill College in Devon, Coleg Gwent in Wales, and Birmingham Metropolitan College in England.
