The University of South Wales is a public university that was established in 2013 after the merger of the University of Wales and the University of Glamorgan, Newport. It houses three campuses in Newport, Cardiff, Pontypridd. It holds an affiliation with University Alliance and Universities UK. The Treforest campus, Pontypridd, offers courses in Accounting and Finance, Art, Business and Management, Chiropractic, English, Criminology, etc. Other courses include – Law, Maths, Public Services, History, Computing, Engineering, Sociology, and Psychology.
Besides academics, the University houses 100+ societies and clubs, allowing students to develop non-academic skills, provide opportunities to volunteer events, etc. Moreover, students can opt for the fully-furnished University of South Wales Treforest accommodation.
