Established in 1962, the University of Law is primarily a for-profit private university in the UK extending law degrees, professional development courses, and exceptional legal training for the British barristers and solicitors. It is considered the UK’s largest law school.
This university has nine campuses, and one of them is in Manchester. In addition, this university has an international branch in Hong Kong. This university aims to impart knowledge to the students in a realistic and contemporary manner involving interactive engagement and practical ideas.
The practice-based training of this university offers a wide range of career options and the university’s legal database. In addition, students of this university can explore a vibrant social life as significant members of the Student Association. They can join the Student Association Events Committee, delve into new programs, and enjoy activities including sports, dancing, theatre, and quizzes.
At the University of Law, approximately 8,000 students are enrolled. Among these students, nearly 7,000 are registered in post-graduate programmes, while the remaining are enrolled in undergraduate courses. In addition, there are students in this university who come from 120 different nationalities across the world. Besides, the Student Employability programme and Employability Service Team work with the students to increase their employability.
Since its establishment, there have been nearly 64,000 alumni, and all are well-established in their respective fields. In addition, large groups and workshops are conducted on the Manchester campus, where students can acquire knowledge collaboratively, making academics more effective and engaging.
Besides, the employability service possesses career consultants who can provide suggestions on CVs and application forms and prepare students for different job interviews. Apart from these, selected candidates can avail Rice-Jones Scholarship for a postgraduate law degree at Manchester and Chester campuses.
