Accommodation

Why live on campus?

Montfort's rebuilt campus is easily accessible from all of its accommodations. Because it is on the outskirts of the city, all of Leicester's attractions are within walking distance.

It's critical to find the perfect area to live while attending university. Montfort recognises that this may be your first time living alone, and you will want to live in a place where you feel safe, secure, and happy. This is why, for all incoming UK, EU, and foreign students who desire it, they aim to provide DMU-sourced housing close to the city centre and campus.

DMU has a range of halls to choose from, with contract lengths ranging from £95 to £154.50 per week to meet your needs. All the halls are self-catered, so you can come and go as you choose.

Placements

DMU Works programme includes placements, which are a popular and successful aspect of the programme. All students are eligible to participate in a long or short placement to obtain professional skills in the workplace. From a business insight visit to a sandwich year placement working for an employer, they have all kinds of placement opportunities ready in place for you. You can also enrol in their Enterprise Placement Year programme, which allows you to work on your own business idea for a year while earning credit for your degree.

  • Placements can have a significant impact on an individual's employability. DMU's short-term assignments allow you to be more flexible. Students might spend 2 to 10 days learning from industry experts in a commercial or technical setting.

  • All students can volunteer with DMUlocal to get essential employment experience, and business school students can participate in a 12-week programme too as a part of their course.
