  • Having celebrated its 180th anniversary in 2019, the University of Chichester boasts of a long history of higher education. It is set across two campus locations, and one of them is the Bishop Otter campus. The University of Chichester Bishop Otter campus was founded by William Otter, Bishop of Chichester, in 1839. The Privy Council approved the title 'University of Chichester' on 12th October 2005. 
  • The University of Chichester Bishop Otter campus features a Learning Resource Centre (LRC) that provides the students with an array of resources. Some of these include Support and Information Zone (SIZ), Costa café and general meeting areas, Equipment Loans, Mac and PC suites, etc. This campus is also home to The Show Room, which is a 250-seat theatre featuring technologically-advanced light and sound equipment principally used by Dance and Theatre Departments. 
  • Other facilities at this campus include two multi-purpose gymnasiums; Biomechanics, Physiology and Psychology laboratories; Sports Performance and Rehabilitation Uni (SPRU); Sports Injury Clinic and others. The Bishop Otter Campus houses most of the academic areas of this university - Law, Theatre and Dance, Humanities, Sports, Art, and BSc (Hons) Psychology programmes. In November 2013, this university was awarded the European Commission HR Excellence in Research Award. 
  • This institute welcomes postgraduate candidates in several subject areas for research, including Dance, Theatre and Fine Art; Sport, Exercise and Physical Education; Engineering and Design; History and Politics; Business Studies, etc. As per the 2021 Guardian League Tables, the University of Chichester ranking was 29th as a University in the United Kingdom. 
  • The Alumni Community is a society that is open for all past students and graduates of the University of Chichester. This university offers its students an Exchange opportunity for a full academic year or one semester.
