The University of Windsor, located in Windsor, Ontario, has a rich history dating back to 1857, when it first welcomed students as Assumption College. 

 

In 1963, it incorporated several colleges into the non-denominational University of Windsor. In 2023, the university celebrated its 60th anniversary

 

Currently, it serves 17,994 full- and part-time undergraduate and graduate students, with 30% of the student body being international students from nearly 100 countries

 

The university has contributed 1.25 million hours of service to the Windsor-Essex communities. The campus covers 51 hectares and is known for its safety and urban setting. A new residence on Sunset Avenue, scheduled to open before the Fall 2025 semester, will offer 440 rooms, dining facilities, and other amenities.
