  • Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) began as Memorial University College (MUC) in 1925 as a memorial to Newfoundlanders sacrificing their lives during World War I. This multidisciplinary institute also known as Memorial University has several campus locations with its main and largest campus situated in St. Johns. 
  • Memorial University’s biggest campus houses research and teaching facilities for the six schools and six faculties of Memorial. It also serves as the administrative hub of this university.   •  MUN provides more than 1600 internship and co-op placements opportunities in research centres and organizations across the world. Some notable personalities of the massive Memorial University of Newfoundland alumni network include novelist Wayne Johnston, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development Dale Kirby, British physiologist Mary Constance Cecile Lobban, and historian Robert Gellately.
