There are 12 on-campus houses at McMaster University, with a total capacity of over 3,600 students

• Classes, sporting facilities, libraries, and dining facilities are all within a five-minute walk of the residences
• Traditional dormitory-style buildings are divided into apartment/suite-style buildings with a private room and kitchen, a communal washroom, and a living room
• There are several sizes of co-ed and female-only halls

McMaster is heavily involved in assisting students who are searching for off-campus housing. Off-Campus Housing for Mac is a unique dashboard that allows you to search for off-campus housing options. For the past 10 years, Mac's off-campus housing has provided services to the McMaster community.

If an overseas student does not want to hunt for off-campus housing through Mac off-campus, they should look in the Westdale & Ainslie Wood, Downtown Hamilton, and Dundas neighbourhoods. International applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, even if rental posts are made throughout the year.
