McMaster University is located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Established in 1887, it is a research-oriented, doctoral-medical university. The university has six academic faculties and is home to 70 research institutes. McMaster offers more than 3000 undergraduate and about 150 graduate programs to its students. Some renowned majors at McMaster University include Biology & Biochemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Environment/Ecology, Neuroscience & Behavior, and Psychiatry/Psychology.
The main campus of McMaster is situated in the Westdale neighborhood of Ontario, near western Lake Ontario. It is spread across 300 acres, connecting it with accessible metro and bus routes. There are three campuses: Core Campus, North Campus, and West Campus. In addition, the university has four regional campuses at Burlington, Niagara, Downtown Hamilton, and Kitchener-Waterloo.
The university offers on-campus accommodation with a capacity of more than 3,600 students in 12 residences. Buildings are available in Apartment, Suite, and Dormitory styles. In addition, international students can find lodging to stay off-campus after completing their first year with the help of the Off-Campus Resource Centre.
