- Holland College was established in 1969 as a provincial community college in Canada’s smallest province Prince Edward Island. It has 8 campuses spread across the island, each campus specializing in a particular field. One of its newest campuses is the Summerside Waterfront campus, which was opened in 2012.
- The campus is 60 km away from the College’s main campus, the Prince of Wales campus in Charlottetown. Cumberland Residence has 31 units and 80 beds. The hall contains 13 two-bedroom units and 18 triple apartments. Every floor of both residence halls and flats has a common area, security with 24-hour staff, mailboxes, laundry facilities, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and phone service. Students who participate in the Police Cadet programme must live at the Atlantic Policy Academy.
