Reliance Foundation has taken the initiative, known as the Reliance Foundation Scholarship or Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship programme 2022, to offer financial help to meritorious and physically challenged students of class 12. This scheme started in 1996 and provided financial assistance to over 11,500 meritorious students.Under this scheme, all those students who meet the eligibility criteria mentioned by the organisation can avail of this scholarship. As a result, they will get benefits of financial support from Rs 35,000 to 55,000 per annum for the duration of the selected college course. Eligibility Criteria for Reliance Foundation Scholarship

The eligibility criteria for the Reliance Foundation Scholarship programme are mentioned below.

  1. Students should pass the 12th standard board exam with good marks from State Board or CBSE.
  2. Candidates have to enrol themselves in a diploma or degree course at a recognised College, University, or Institution.
  3. The annual family income of the candidate should not be more than INR 50 Lakhs. 
  4. Candidates have to receive the Letter of Eligibility from the Reliance Foundation for this scholarship.
  5. Specially-abled students who do not have any annual income limit.
  6. The student’s age should be below 20 years as of 30th April of the year of application.

Application Process

The application process for this scholarship is a little bit different from the other scholarship programme. As this scholarship is only applicable to the top scorers of the 12th Board Exam of State or CBSE Board, the Reliance Foundation sends a Letter of Eligibility to the highest 15 scorers of every state, excluding Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa. Reliance Foundation sends the Letter of Eligibility to the top 10 scorers for these three states.Applicants who get the Letter of Eligibility can apply for the scholarship within 60 days from the date of receiving the letter. Eligible individuals can follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for this scholarship online.

Step 1: Go through the official online portal of the Reliance Foundation Scholarship Programme.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Login’ button to start the online application process.

Step 3: Candidates should log in using the login ID and password as mentioned in the Letter of Eligibility.

Step 4: After successfully completing this login process, fill in all the mandatory details in the online application form, such as name, email ID, contact number, date of birth, age, gender, etc.

Step 5: Then, candidates should upload all the mandatory supporting documents to the online portal.

Step 6: Next, submit the online form.Knowing only how to apply for this scholarship programme online is not enough. Individuals should also check the selection criteria for the same.

Selection Criteria of Reliance Foundation Scholarship

The selection criteria for the Reliance Foundation Scholarship are mentioned below.

  • Only a resident of India can apply for this scholarship.
  • Students must currently enrol in a recognised institute.
  • Students also have to enrol in an eligible course subject full time.
  • Undergraduate students who hold a rank of 1 to 10,000 in the JEE Main (Paper 1) exam will get an Undergraduate Scholarship.
  • Postgraduate students who have scored 600 to 1,000 in the GATE Exam or a 7.5 CGPA (or percentage normalised to CGPA) or above score in their Undergraduate course can avail of the Postgraduate Scholarship.
