Admission Process

Accommodation

Loyalist College provides a safe, fun, diverse community living environment at all residences. With 580 beds split between two fully furnished homes (apartment or townhouse), you can access live-in peer support, full-time professional staff, round-the-clock security personnel, and various social events. After careful consideration of the ill effects of the pandemic, Loyalist college has decided to reduce the fee for the years 2022-2023. They acknowledge that the past two years have been difficult for everyone and want to help their students in every way possible. Residence costs for local and international students will now be lowered to $3,400 for the 8-month contract in September 2022 from $6,200 for the contract's first eight months ($775 each month).

 

Five homes are on campus in a rural, forested area outside Belleville. There are 476 beds available in the apartment-style residences and 104 students in townhouse-style residences. The residences are fully furnished and have laundry facilities (card system), a sports area with basketball hoops, bike storage, picnic tables, a covered outdoor patio, a beach volleyball court, and outdoor grills. 

Each residence includes six distinct bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a communal living space are all included in each residence's apartment-style layout. Each single-occupancy bedroom has a twin captain's bed, a desk and chair for studying, a lamp for the desk, a dresser, a nightstand, a bookcase, and a corkboard. There are dining tables, chairs, a coffee table, a love seat, a fridge, a stove, a microwave, and dishwashers, and these amenities are located in the shared kitchen and dining rooms.

According to Colleges Ontario, Loyalist College has the highest graduate employment rate in Ontario (90.8%) compared to the statewide average (85.7%). It is also among the top-ranked colleges in the province for graduate satisfaction, student contentment, employer satisfaction, and graduation rate. In its normal programmes, Loyalist College does not provide placement services. But in the case of a co-op programme, the job can become full-time when the degree is earned.
