International House - Vancouver

Established in 1990, International House Vancouver extends high-quality language programmes to students across the world. Being situated in Downtown Vancouver, students studying can easily access some of the city’s attractions. It has received accreditation from Languages Canada. UNESCO ranked Vancouver as a beautiful, safe city and a top place globally for living. The purpose-built campus of IH Vancouver features a student lounge, computer lab equipped with internet facilities, 23 classrooms, an art gallery, several shops and multiple dining venues. The various programs offered at this institute include pathway programs, junior programs, General English programs. Besides these, IH Vancouver also extends programs for students having a Working Holiday Visa. The two large junior programs are run in summer and winter. It provides courses in Academic English, general English Language, and Modern Languages (Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, French, German, etc.). The class sizes at International House Vancouver comprises an average of 10 students. IH Vancouver incorporates the IHWO and CEFR standards and divides them into 14 levels. This ensures that classes are directed towards a student’s specific needs. IH Vancouver, in addition through its Career College, is a teacher training centre that issues diplomas in TESL, J-Shine and CELTA. It is Cambridge University certified, and PTIB approved. Besides this, it holds Languages Canada, EQA, and IH world designations. IH Vancouver offers two types of accommodation facilities that include student houses and homestay. The student houses are available for students from 19 years of age.
