Basic admittance criteria

Certificate and degree programmes for graduate students:

Graduate certificate programmes have different admissions requirements, but all applicants must have completed a college diploma, advanced diploma, or bachelor's degree from a recognised institution.

An OSSD with six Grade 12 U or M level courses is required for degree programmes. Grade point average (GPA) standards are common in most degree programmes. As part of the admissions process, previous grades of less than 60% at the post-secondary level will be examined. Degree programme applicants are not eligible for equivalency testing to meet admission requirements.

The ability to communicate in English

At Georgian College, the language of instruction is English. In addition to the academic admission standards, those applicants who do not speak English as their first language or who come from countries where English is not an official language must present proof of language proficiency.

Georgian College features a career centre for its students that helps them find appropriate jobs using online and offline resources. The centre provides job advertising and volunteer opportunities, resume preparation, mock interviews, and career coaching to help people improve their employability skills.
