Fraser International College (FIC) is a private institution running under the parent organization Simon Fraser University. It is located in the Barnaby Campus of this university and is in the vicinity of Canada’s Vancouver city. \
This is the only campus of this college. Macleans 2020 ranked FIC first in the comprehensive Canadian universities list. World’s Universities with Real Impact 2020 ranked it seventh regarding innovation entrepreneurial spirit. This institute also featured in the top 1% in Worldwide Rankings by QS 2020.
International students can complete their first year at Fraser International College through the UTP (university transfer program) Stage II. This program is equivalent to a first-year university program, and students can directly progress into their degree’s 2nd year at SFU.
International students get enrolled at this college in three intakes - January, May and September. Students can participate in over 40 outdoor, sports, leadership and educational programs hosted by Simon Fraser University in Vancouver city. Fraser International College students can find single room accommodation featuring all necessary facilities in SFU residences at Burnaby campus.
These residences are located within a short walking distance from classes. Alternatively, students can opt for off-campus options for accommodation in Canada. FIC extends several foundations and undergraduate pathway programs to international students, which are designated as UTP Stage I and UTP Stage II, respectively.
UTP Stage I or Foundation programs are offered in science, arts, computing science, engineering, business administration, and social sciences. There are 12 undergraduate pathway programs at this institute, including bachelors in arts and social sciences, environment, communication, computing science, engineering science, art and technology, business administration, and many more.
Besides these, FIC also provides an associate degree in arts, and there are also options for two support programs – integrated and cornerstone. FIC also extends several awards and scholarships. To name a few of them, these include the Academic Distinction Scholarship, Resiliency Award Scholarship, Principal’s Honour Roll, etc. Besides these, there is an opportunity for short-term emergency funding as well.

Housing

FIC students have the option of living in SFU dorms on the Burnaby campus, which are only a short walk from lessons. Single rooms with extra-long mattresses and high-speed internet connection are available, as well as common spaces with shared TVs and microwaves. They also have a dining hall and a food plan for the entire residence community to use.

Buses run on a regular basis between the campus and the Greater Vancouver rapid transit system at the foot of Burnaby Mountain. Visiting family members can also stay at SFU's on-campus hotel.

Barbecue nights, movie nights, and 'rez' challenges are just a few of the usual activities that make on-campus housing enjoyable!
