Cegep de la Gaspesie et des Iles of Canada, also known as CEGEP college, was established in 1967 and is now affiliated under Association Generale des etudiants du Cegep de la Gaspesie et des Iles. Established by the Quebec Provincial Government, it is a public-funded institution and one of Quebec's largest.
It has 3000+ student strengths and comprises five extensive campuses in five locations, namely Gaspe, Carleton, í_les-de-la-Madeleine, Montreal, and Grande Riviere. Regarded as one of the top 20 destinations in the world to visit by National Geographic, the institution offers pre-university programs, technical programs, secondary school vocational diploma in fields like business, computer science, technology, tourism, and healthcare.
CEGEP offers Montreal-Gaspe Collaborative scholarships to deserving students for a smooth education process. CEGEP has the Marcel Bujold Sports Complex for healthy campus life to practice badminton, soccer, frisbee, volleyball, and other games. There is also a film club, library, music club, Outdoor club, Gaspe Improvisation League, Ecological Groupe Univert, Le Chameau Theatre Company, etc.
For students with mental health and learning impairment, CEGEP also offers adapted services to benefit the students. The cost of living, merit scholarship, tuition fees, and financial aid depends on the citizenship and place of residence of respective students.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the environment is competitive but fair, and there are scholarships for those who need it. Not to mention that the location is perfect for day trips!
