Eligibility

A minimum of 24 credits toward an Ontario Secondary School Diploma are required (OSSD). For admission consideration, a minimum of 70% in a university-oriented academic programme with the majority of courses at the advanced level of difficulty is necessary.

Academic records are used to determine eligibility. Here are some instances of requirements:

Passes in at least five academic topics at the "O" level on the General Certificate of Education (GCE)/General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) (Grade C or higher). English must be one of these subjects. It is suggested that you study mathematics, physics, or a language other than English.
The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) Certificate in General Proficiency, Grades One-Three (effective 1998), will be accepted. Students whose anticipated or mock grades represent Grades One-Three are allowed conditional admission.

Admission Process

STEP 1: Application Type

All applications for admission to Ontario institutions are processed through the Ontario Universities Application Center (OUAC). Before submitting, applicants should understand their unique admission requirements.
STEP 2: Select an academic programme and review the prerequisites.
At Western University, each campus has its own Admissions Office and application codes based on academic majors. When applying to Brescia, look for us under Western University, but be sure to use the Brescia application code.

STEP 3: Finish the application
You can apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre once you've decided the academic programme you wish to apply to and examined your unique admission requirements (OUAC). If you have any questions about how to use the OUAC application system, please contact us.

STEP 5: Submit all needed paperwork 101 Applicants:

Your school will send your high school grades to Brescia via OUAC. Please make sure that your transcript is forwarded to Brescia's admissions office if you take a summer course.

Between December and May, admission decisions for September start are made on a rolling basis based on available grade information.
