A minimum of 24 credits toward an Ontario Secondary School Diploma are required (OSSD). For admission consideration, a minimum of 70% in a university-oriented academic programme with the majority of courses at the advanced level of difficulty is necessary.

Academic records are used to determine eligibility. Here are some instances of requirements:

Passes in at least five academic topics at the "O" level on the General Certificate of Education (GCE)/General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) (Grade C or higher). English must be one of these subjects. It is suggested that you study mathematics, physics, or a language other than English.
The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) Certificate in General Proficiency, Grades One-Three (effective 1998), will be accepted. Students whose anticipated or mock grades represent Grades One-Three are allowed conditional admission.
