The minimum qualifying standards for each program that applicants from outside Victoria University must meet are as follows: 

  • The criteria for undergraduate programs are further separated into two portions, with eligibility for primary education and English proficiency differing for each:
  • Certificates, diplomas, and advanced diplomas are the first three levels of education.
  • Each certificate and diploma course has its own set of requirements (students need to check this on the dedicated course page on the university website)

 

English Language Proficiency:

 

  • Academic IELTS: a minimum of 5.5 bands overall (no less than 5 in each section)
  • TOEFL: An aggregate score of 55 is required (Listening: 9, Speaking: 16, Reading: 10, Writing: 18)
  • PTE Academic: An total score of 42-49 is required (with no section score less than 40)
  • Advanced (CAE) at the University of Cambridge requires a minimum score of 162 overall (no less than 154 in individual sections)
  • Achieved in VU English-English for Academic Purposes (EAP) (Level 4)
