  • A public university headquartered in Armidale, Australia, the University of New England was founded in 1938 and provides more than 200 undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses.

Students under the age of 18 are not permitted to enrol in any programme. They can, however, attend classes at the English Language Centre. Additionally, before being given a Student Visa, students can appoint a guardian for the duration of their stay in Australia and present corresponding papers. Admissions to the undergraduate programme

Candidates applying to UNE for undergraduate studies must have completed the equivalent of Year 12 in Australia. Indian candidates must possess one or more of the following qualifications:

Admissions to Postgraduate Programs

Candidates for postgraduate courses must have completed a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, as defined by the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). It's a good idea to double-check the qualifying requirements for PG programmes because they may have additional requirements that applicants must complete.

The University of New England use an application known as InPlace to provide complete professional placements in fields such as education, nursing, medicine, computer science, pharmacy, and others.

  • Annual job fairs are held at the university to provide students with work prospects in Australia across a variety of fields.
  • UNE's placement systems assess a student's math and writing abilities in order to discover courses that are appropriate for academic success.

The Institution of New England, originally known as New England University College, was established in 1938 and became an independent university in 1954. The campus spans 74 hectares and features a variety of structures, top-notch athletic facilities, stores, restaurants, medical facilities, daycare, a post office, and financial services.

On Campus Accommodation

  • Living on the UNE academic campus will allow you to meet new people, participate in a range of social and cultural events, and be immersed in a welcoming environment.
