The university has received a 1001+ ranking from THE (Times Higher Education) - University Ranking for the past two years in a row. Teaching, Research, and Citations are each given 30% weight in Times Higher Education's (THE) rating methodology.
 

Additionally, the university has been ranked by US News & World Report, where it now holds the 1108th spot for Global Universities in 2020. The university is also mentioned in the US News & World Report lists of the best national universities and the top regional universities in the Midwest, where it ranks 160th (2021) and fifth (2018), respectively. In addition to other rating factors, the US News & World Report bases their rankings on the number of publications cited, global research reputation, and regional research reputation (12.5% each).
 

US News & World Report has placed the university's UG Business programme at number 201 for 2021. The UG Business course had previously received rankings of 195 for 2020 and 179 for 2019. The approach used by US News & World Report to rank subjects includes, among other things, considerations such as student selection (25%), the views of business school administrators (25%), and employment outcome (21%).
