  • Founded in 1890, the University of Tasmania is a public research educational institute in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. The three main campuses in Launceston, Hobart, and Burnie offer 150 undergraduate and 120 postgraduate courses with research programs in Geology, Analytical Chemistry, Ecology, Agriculture, etc. Divided into five faculties- College of Arts, Law, and Education; College of Sciences and Engineering; Tasmanian School of Business and Economics; College of Health and Medicine; and University College, there are more than 34,000 students in the university. 
  • Eligible candidates can apply three months before the semester with minimum marks in IELTS (6.5), PTE (50), TOEFL (72) for undergraduate and graduate programs with a tuition fee of AUD 29,950- AUD 34,950 and AUD 30,950- AUD 37,000, respectively. 
  • With a 25% reduction in tuition fee through Tasmanian International Scholarships, the university also provides department-wise scholarships up to 50% of the tuition fee. Art Library, Law Library, Clinal Library, Music Library, Morris Miller Library, Cradle Coast Campus Library, and Launceston Campus Library are integrated as a single library system of the university for the students. 
  • Students can join over 130 clubs and societies related to spiritual faith, residential, culture, and community building. Along with sports facilities in cricket, hockey, soccer, rowing, volleyball, students also get health support, security protocols, counselling, and career guidance. 
  • Around 450 studio rooms are available in Hobart Apartments with a weekly rate of AUD 270. Christ College, University Apartments, and John Fisher College have 570 rooms with single, twin, and flat type rooms at an average cost of AUD 240 and a security deposit of AUD 500. 
  • Short-term and off-campus accommodation is also available for AUD 600-800 per week. Career Connect Development Center at the University of Tasmania ensures real-life working opportunities for students that benefits during placements with annual packages of up to USD 160,000 along with a chance of getting internships.
