The Federation University came to exist as an amalgamation of the University of Ballarat and the Gippsland Campus of Monash University. With an average student and faculty count of 28,000 and 1,280, respectively, the university provides several courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The university focuses on factors such as innovation, inclusion, and excellence while imparting educational services. The research contributions of the university are evident with SAGE Athena (SWAN) and Women’s Research Network (WREN).
