  • Federation University in Victoria, Australia, is a dual-sector public institution established in 1870. It consists of seven schools (Health, Arts, Business, TAFE etc.) with an enrolment of 11,010 undergraduate, 5,607 postgraduate and 313 research students. A staff of 1,280 members teaches courses such as Philosophy, Landscaping, Human Services and Entrepreneurship, Mental Health etc. 
  • There are seven Federation University campuses; SMB, Berwick, Brisbane, Mt Helen, Camp Street, Wimmera and Gippsland. Except for Camp Street, all the campuses have a library that houses many printed/e-resources and study spaces. Over 20 short courses, including higher education courses, are offered by FedUni to help professional development. 
  • Moreover, working-age people can apply for one of the apprenticeship and traineeship courses. The Online Learning initiative allows students to pursue engineering, arts, business etc., from home while having access to all campus facilities. Pathway courses like the Diploma of University Studies and the Foundation Access Studies program help prepare students for FedUni degree programs. 
  • Students can apply for financial assistance such as scholarships, grants, loans and bursaries; Professional Development Grant, TAFE Scholarships, Elite Athlete Scholarship, OS-HELP loans etc. Students from overseas universities can enrol for one/two-semester courses at Federation University. In contrast, its students can participate in exchanges, study tours, overseas placements etc., through the study abroad program.
  • Accommodation is available on Campus in residential units, apartments, shared/ensuite rooms and more at Peter Lalor Hall, Victoria Street Halls of Residence etc. Students can join one of the many clubs and societies like FedOut, Green Room, BARS and OT Society. They can also play intervarsity, social, community and Campus Comps sports such as netball, basketball and cycling. Fitness amenities on Campus include swimming pools, gyms, the Health and Fitness Centre, courts and fields. Employment records show that FedUni graduates earn a median salary of AUD 56,000.
