You must:
- be an international student as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003. This excludes Australian citizens and Australian permanent residents
- hold Indian citizenship and be a current resident of India
- have applied for but not yet commenced an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at the University of Sydney at the time of application for the award.

Benefits
A total of 28 scholarships will be awarded annually, consisting of:
- 3 x AUD 40,000 or INR 22 Lakhs per annum for any undergraduate degree of up to four years.
- 10 x AUD 20,000 or INR 10 Lakhs first-year scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- 15 x AUD 10,000 or INR 5.4 Lakhs first-year scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Selection Criteria
- The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:
- academic merit,
- personal statements, and
- the applicant’s application for admission to an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at the University of Sydney.
- The Scholarship will be awarded on the nomination of a selection committee consisting of two academic nominees and two non-academic nominees made by the Associate Vice-President Sydney Future Students.
