While plastic's convenience has made it ubiquitous in modern life, its pervasive environmental damage necessiates a drastic shift, with some arguing that a complete cessation of plastic product use is the only viable solution. I completely agree with this viewpoint. To begin with, plastic take decades or even centuries to decompose. Even when plastic decomposes, it does not fully disappears but instead fragments into smaller pieces called microplastics which can persist indefinitely in the environment. As a result, it acts as one of the major discomfort to the environment. Additionally, the dumping of plastic in the environment not only causes soil pollution which affects the quality of land and hampers crop production making the land unfertile for agriculture but also makes the surroundings polluted or filthy. However, the most effective technique to stop the degradation of environment through plastic waste would be to completely avoid usage of plastic products. For example, instead of using platic bags for shopping or keeping groceries, people can utilise paper bags in their daily life to eliminate the plastic consumption. Governments should also take an initiative to completely prohibit the use of plastics as this will be beneficial for an overall less plastic consumption. Complete forbidden of plastic products will definitely lead to a safer and better environment. In conclusion, the extent of damage plastic have been providing to the environment is clearly visible in the form of global warming, ecosystem disruption via indigestion by wildlife and soil pollution. However, with the continous practices to completely eliminate the use of plastic products would lead to a sustainable and a pollution free environment.

One of the biggest threat to the ecology today is believed to be use of plastic. Some believe that threat can only be controlled by discontinuing the use of plastic products. I disagree as plastic has revolutionised industries like packaging and construction providing people with cheaper and durable options. With maturity of recycling techniques, discarding plastic in a responsible manner is the right approach to reduce the negative effect of plastic to the environment. Plastic has changed the way of wrapping, packaging and transporting not only solid but liquid items specifically. Earlier liquids were transported and delivered using glass bottles or jars which was an inefficent and dangerous method. It led to a significant wastage during transportation, difficult to store and was expensive. For example, I remember, when we were young milk bottles were delivered to our home by a milk vendor. He used to keep the bottles by our door-side in wee hours of the morning and collected empty bottles my mother had kept the night before. Seldom the bottles were broken by street cats or dogs or few of them we broken during the day whiling emtying, washing or rinsing. Plastic packaging used today is unbrakable and help keep the milk fresher for longer, removing reverse logistics problem completely from the equation. A major area of concern today is around disposal of plastic in responsible manner. Nowadays, plastic can be recycled and reused multiple times. If rules are made around correct disposal of plastic products, it could be where it could be taken straight to recycling plants, most of the plastic can be melted and used for making other products. Governments, corporates and individual users should come together and help create the ecosystem for right disposal of plastic and help recycling it whenever possible. For example, a recent inititative taken by our government has now created a seperate bin for plastic discposal. This is a welcome initiative and would help in seggregation and recycling of plastic products easily. In conclusion, plastic has made packaging cheaper. simpler and better. We need to come up with innovative ideas for better utilization of the platic power.

Plastics are non-biodgredable but recyclable. The fact that plastic products are omnipresent and non-biodegradable,is reason why they are causing primarily land pollution, also ,water pollution and air pollution when burnt, leading to damage to environment. Some people hold the view that the only way to deal with this problem is to stop using plastics.I disagree with this notion as there are alternative solutions present. While, saying bye to plastic products is the simplest and obvious solution, but its not a practical strategy. For example, toys, bags, stationery, etc are essentially made of plastic and we just cant stop using them.We can find ways to reuse them, recycle them and limit their use.Another possible solution is to replace plastic with other material. For example, paper bags are available at all the shopping stores in my city, significantly reducing the plastic load. Similarly,in case of disposable crockery, bonded paper has replaced plastic;lessening the damage to environment.Another area ,where plastics can be replaced is the making ofdishes;we can ban plastic utensils as alternatives are present such as ceramic, stainless steel, alluminium utensils. We can very well limit the use of plastic, with small steps. For instance, teachers can promote the children to buy mimimum of pens and replace the refill when finished.Projecting it onto the number of population, the results are commendable, even with this small step.Environmental scientists and chemical engineers should find new ways to recycle and dispose plastics in biofriendly ways.If such a new technology is found,it will solve problem at the root that plastics are non-biodegradable. Another area where we can work on is to limit consumerism.Hoarding things is a mosquito spreading dengue of environmental damage. If everyone takes a pledge that they will limit their number of cars, plastic products and even other products, the waste will reduce ,henceforth;environmental pollution will be reduced poignantlly. In conclusion, plastics are non-biodegradable and their use poses threat to environment ,but there are several strategies to prevent this. The strategies include recycling, reuse and searching for biofriendly method of disposing plastic products.

Enviornmental damage done by plastic is immense and the only way to reverse the damage is to ban plastic use. I partially agree with this point, though it has polluted land and water, however It has become inevitable. Moving on to the first point, Plastic is non-degradable by nature. Though it was an important discovery and being used in all arenas ranging from packaging to designing tires of motorvehicles. Addtionally, it is the best material for storage, however the way it has been discarded has resulted in its accumulation in natural resources. Three is need to fix the supply as it is recyclable so to limit the production is one way to stop its excess which in turn not only requires social but also also political commitment to save natrure. If it is reduced, reused and recycled , it can become easier to minimize its impact. Addtionally, The ban on production of plastic carry bags and its strict implementation is must for curbing the damage. The Eviornment day is to be celebrated everyday by organising community awareness campaigns focused on reducing and reusing plastic waste and designing a correct method to discard it to recycle, It would be a way to handle this problem. Despite being a costly initiative it can be a nature saver. If it is possible to discover a biodegradable material to replace the plastic then also it will take time to completely discard it has become the core of daily life. To conclude, It is impossible to stop plastic from being used, however strategies to minimize its impact to be focused more thoroughly. Nature saving must be a everybody`s life agenda.

There is sudden escalation of pollution in the enviroment due to numerous reason and plastic is a major factor in it. It is believed that only solution to this is to completely ban using plastic products. I completely agree with this statement due to some of the reasons such as non-biodegradable material, causing health issues etc. The invention of plastic is considered revoltuionary, because of accessibility, durability and cheap production cost. However, due to these properties it lead to overproduction and ultimately creating loads of non-biodegradable dumps causing soil and water pollution. According to The Enviroment Under Attack Report, 2024 there is about 5 trillion tons of plastic waste documented on earth, that will take approximately 9000 years to deagrade completely. Furthermore, plastic residues creates micro-plastics in the air which gets into human lungs leading to several medical conditions such as Lung disorders , breathing issues and reproductive issues. For example, an 8 days old infant was diagnosed with lung obstruction due to micro plastics in Delhi, India according to BBc report 2022. Nonetheless, endocrine disruption due to microplastics is evident my multiple studies by Harvard University 2016-2022, leading to thyroid issues, PCOS, adrenal conditions. In Conclusion, plastics cause more harm than betterment in our lives. The best possible solution currently is to completely ban plastic products and switch to natural and biodegradable products such as using cotton/paper bags instead of polythene, using metal containers instead of plastic jars etc. These measures will ultimately lead to reduction in plastic usage and will help in saving the enviroment.

People having been using plastic products for more than a century. It has become a necessity in making numerous products due to the cheap price tag it carries which makes any plastic product affordable. But, it is one of the biggest contributor to environmental hazards all around the globe affecting humans and animals alike. Hence, I strongly agree that platic is having damaging effects on this beautiful, clean and green world. To start with, people around the world use plastic products on a regular basis. For instance, even the bottled mineral water is packaged in a plastic bottle and sold everywhere. Also, many of the packaged food items are packed in some or the other kind of plastic coating to prevent them from spilling specifically if it is some kind of curry. Moreover, in developing or underdeveloped nations population prefer to use plastic products in many of their day to day requirements as they are very affordable. For example, they use items like bucket, spoons, food plates, plastic bags, all of which are made of plastic. But, unfortunately once these products are of no use or damaged, they are just thrown in normal garbage which are picked up by the garbage collectors and thrown alongside the other food waste. Unfortunately, plastic is non-degradable and they just lie around damaging the environment. Furthermore, to make matters worse, animals scavange of these plastic thrashes and die painfully. On the other hand, we can curb the usage of plastic, by enforcing strict environment protection law and by slapping hefty fines on those who do not comply with it. Additionally, people must be made aware of dangers of using plastic products with the help of various anti-plastic campaign. Also, there should be a section in the school curriculum explaining about dangers of plastic usage to the environment. To summarize, plastic usage is a biggest and most evident threat to our enviroment, affecting all the species of the planet, negetively. Thus, platic usage in any form must be completely curbed.

Plastic pollution is affecting the whole world including mankind, wild life and marine life. It is spreading like a disease which has no cure and no one realizes how much damage it is causing to the environment in general. Plastic is present everywhere and people have started using it as a source of comfort. In order to control the destruction that plastic goods is causing to the planet, serious measures have to be taken to control the use of its products. This essay will discuss that indeed, use of plastic products is posing to be a major challenge to the environment. Firstly, the most important thing is to bring awareness among people. Children from a tender age should be taught in schools as well as home not to use plastic products such as cutlery, teethers or certain toys. Instead, they should be replaced with stainless steel spoons or toys made of silicon and other child-friendly materials. Secondly, even in super markets plastic bags are used which can be replaced with cloth or paper bags. The reason plastic use has risen is because it is easy and hasslefree which makes even adults fall for it. In the interest of controlling the severe harm that plastic is causing to our environment some immediate measures should be taken both by the authorities as well as the citizens. For instance, use of paper bags should be made mandatory at all stores and all the restaurants and take aways should be advised not to use plastic containers for parcels. Having said that, goverment must also make subsidies for the replacement goods and charge a hefty amount as penalty for not following the orders. Thus, it is a moral responsibilty of the citizens as well as the authorities to work hand in hand in order to curb plastic pollution which is constantly on the rise. Scientists are doing research to save our planet Earth and its ecosystem from all the possible dangers and it is also upon us how we play our part.

Plastic use should be halted to save the environment because it is the only way to control damage to the surroundings. This essay agrees with this statement because it is non-biodegradable and impacts marine life drastically. There should be restrictions on using plastic products because it takes thousands of years to decompose. It accumulates in landfills and ecosystems, leading to long-term contamination of the environment. Moreover, it harms wildlife through ingestion as animals eat it, resulting in deteriorating health or even death. For example, a recent study states that plastic fragments were found in the majority of animals causing death. It is found that the main reason for fatal death is only plastic consumed in the form of containers made of non-BPA-free material. Aquatic animals are affected to a great extent by consuming polythenes or other items made of plastic dumped in water bodies. There is much evidence showing that fish and sharks are affected immensely due to this practice of throwing garbage including plastic in it. For instance, A study was conducted to see how plastic can be fatal to fish by putting small pieces of plastic in the aquarium, unfortunately, she died after 2 hours of having it. Researchers said it was the shortest time of death they experienced in this kind of experiment. To conclude, one of the huge menaces to ecology is plastic because it takes a lot of time to break affecting the whole ecosystem and animals in water bodies are massively impacted by this practice.

With the advent of change in environmental conditions, there are several problems associated with it. For instance, global warming, melting of snow, natural calamities. There are multiple contributing factors leading to environmental degradation and plastic usage is considered as one of the biggest threat amongst all. The only viable solution to stop this damage is to curb the usage of plastic products. Plastic is a product which is easily accessible and economicaly feasible which makes it a common medium to be used by majority of population. In my home, since childhood, I have witnessed multiple usage of plastics, for example in discarding waste materials, storing vegetables. Because of it's easy availibility, it can be found almost at every household and even in small and medium sized enterprises. The main problem associated with plastic is it's degradation. Once discarded in environment, it acts as a non-biodegradble material and stays in environment for a much longer span. It cannot be recycled and reused and even latest technology is not able to device a system in which plastic can be recycled completely. As it stays in environment it leads to problems like soil degradation, land pollution. It has also been evidenced that plastic which is discarded in seas harms aquatic flora and fauna. Government, local bodies and even big organisations are taking multiple initiatives to minimise the usage of plastic. For example my company introduced the concept of paper straws and have also taken a long term goal to stop the usage of plastic in their manufacturing units. In my opinion, the only way to curb the damage of plastic is to stop using one and search for alternatives.

In last few decades, use of plastic has increased drastically. It has been observed that plastic is one of the factor in degradation of environmental health condition. I partially disagree with the statement that only eliminating the use of plastic will help to curb the damage. Instead, along with the stop using plastic, a combination of recycling and reuse of plastic product, and use of alternate environmental friendly material might help us to curb the damage. Plastic is an essential part of the industry and being used in some of the critical applications, such as medical and packaging industries because of its economical and hygene abilities, makes it an irreplacable product without impacting the economical disruption. For instance, medical gloves and syringes made up of plastic are being used in the industry, which makes it difficult to replace them with alternate material's products considering the criticality behind the operation. On the other hand, single use plastic is one of the major concern which ends up in land-fills, water sources etcetera, and takes hundreds of years to decompose. For example, in a recent research it has been found that single use plastic is harming the marine life at a greater extent and toxic micro plastic particles have been found inside marine animals. In conclusion, as plastic is one of the biggest concern for environmental health, but along with minimizing the use of plastic products other combination of concrete steps, such as ecofriendly alternate products, avoid single use plastics, and recycling of plastic may help us to rectify the damages and maintain an ecofriendly environment.

Climate change combined with excessive usage of non-biodegradable products has posed considerable threat to our existence on this planet. Overuse of plastic products is acting like a last straw on the camel's back. Hence its imperative that we address this situation with utmost urgency. Today, Plastic material in any form is popular due to its strength, durability and ability to take different shapes. The wide application of this carbon by-product has led to serious consequences to not only the health and safety of public but also the environment, wildlife and society at large. Majority of the plastic material is recycled from the waste. The over-dependence of the food and catering industry on them is posing serious threat to the consumers. The toxic substance in the non-food grade packing is cause of life-threatening diseases. Furthermore, most of this packaging gets added to the land-fills. Ironically, the properties that adds to the strength to this man-made wonder has also lead to the problem of disposal. Mass production, careless disposal practices and range of application across different industry such as packaging in food industry, medical equipments like syringes in healthcare industry, storage containers at household and commerical kitchens and refridegerator has led to plethora of problems. On the brighter side there are initiative likes no-plastic campaigns, plastic-free july, subsidies to producers who below a certain micron threshold, loyalty points to public those who exchange their plastic wastes for groceries in Fresco, Tesco, Walmart is certainly imparting sense of awareness in th society. Research to find a plant-based substitute for plastic is already gaining sufficient funding and attention. I am confident with advent of promising initiative both by public and private partnership we can fight the menace of plastic. So I feel the solution is not to stop the usage but effective usage.

Environmental poLlution is rampant and seems to be only increasing further despite humanity's consistent efforts. Practices such as deforestation and improper waste managements methods such incineration and landfills have only aggravated the crisis. The growing human population also makes protecting our enviroment cumbersome as it fuels waste production and resource depletion. Plastic has always been one of the major pollutants of the water bodies as well as land. The damage caused to the flora and fauna of the sea is of immense magnitude and policies to stop plastic usage will still take time in reversing damage caused due to the same. The degradation time for plastic products is in many years and range is in decades. Recycling plastic is one of the strategies in place, but is nowhere near as good as banning plastic usage altogether. Incinerating plastic waste also produces noxious fumes that cause air pollution and is hazardous to the city and its inhabitants. Landfilling with plastic also degrades soil quality and has potential to make our lands barren. Replacing plastic usage with paper and cloth bags is a much more suitable alternative, as these two degrade far easier than plastic does, and the impact they have on environmental pollution is much less threatening than that of plastic. Brands and companies should change packaging strategies for the sale of their products utilising non plastic options. The public too should be educated on the consequences of plastic usage and encouraged to adopt more environment friendly practices. Finally, urgent action needs to be taken, to make a significant difference in protecting our environment. Stringent policies are of need to counter the imbalance caused in our ecosystem due to plastic. Although the former have had success in few regions of the world, the war against plastic usage is far from over.

Plastics are most commonly used in our day to day life. Mostly, they are used in the form of a carry bag. They have always been a threat to the health and the environment. In this essay I would discuss more about the disadvantages of using plastics than advantages. My opinion is inclined more towards the disadvantages of their use. Firstly, plastics are being used judiciously in packing the gifts, lamination of the documents, in carry bags and also in the form of disposable crockery. Undoubtedly, plastics have hazardous effects on the environment because plastics are very difficult to recycle, they cause clogging of the drains due to which floods commonly occur. What is more, if one tries to burn them into flames, then they will release certain harmful gasses like carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide to the air which will cause air pollution, the most common example can be encountered in the dumping grounds ourside many cities in my country where municipal corporation people try to dispose of plastics by setting them on fire. This air pollution will lead to health disease such as carbon monoxide poisoning, asthma and chronic obstructive lung disease. Plastics when mixed in water can also cause water bourne diseases such as diarrhoea, hepatitis and fever. It is due to the chemicals present in the plastics which cause health hazards in the community. Secondly, though there are some advantages in the use of plastics, plastics play a vital role in maintaining the strength of the packaging material. This strength make the material unbreakable. Disposable products made of plastics can be easily handled as compared to paper because the latter is bound to tear because of weak strength. In my opinion, plastics should be replaced by paper beacuse the latter can be easily recycled. Nowadays, bamboo fibre is also emerging as an replacement to plastics. It is having strength similar to the plastics and is biodegradable and environment friendly. To conclude, the plastic use should be banned by the health authorities of the government. As mentioned above papers and bamboo fibres can be used instead of plastics as these are environmental friendly and biodegradable.

The modern times are witnessing an ongoing threat to the ecological balance of the environment due to the indiscriminate use of plastic, prompting some to suggest stopping it's use is the only solution. While reducing plastic usage is essential, I believe that recyling plastic in innovative ways, such as incorporating it in road construction will be a better option. This essay will discuss the benefits of using recycled plastic in infrastructure and examine why alternatives like paper and cloth can also have downsides. A complete ban on plastic products maybe impractical due its extensive use across various industries. Plastic is durable and affordable making it essential. However, recycling it for road construction offers a good solution. Recyled plastic used in road repair is highlight resistanct to water and hear, making it a durable option. In India, roads built with recycled plastic have proven to be cost-effective and long-lasting while reducing plastic waste. Alternatives like paper and cloth may seem environmentally friendly, but they can also lead to harm. Paper production contributes to deforestation, and cloth production consumes significant water and energy resources. Compared to these, plastic can be a more sustainable choice when managed responsibly. For instance, energy used in producing a cotton tote bag is much higher than that of a plastic bag, making plastic a better option. In conclusion, rather than eliminating plastic entirely, recycling it for infrastructure developement can help manage waste effectively. Given that alternatives also have environmental costs, a focus on responsible recyling offers a practical solution for minimizing plastic's impact.

Pollution, in today's era, is becoming a grave issue which is inclining at an alarming rate due to various human activities. Most of the people believe that plastic prohibition may save environment, but I think there are other factors also which are responsible for this damage. To initiate with, one of the major issues for environment threat is usage of plastic bags. To elaborate it, since plastic materials are cheap so people prefer to use it in daily life, however, plastic is dangerous for environment as it releases harmful fumes when burnt. Another noticeable thing is plastic is non-biodegradable, and when buried, it effects the fertility of soil, that is not beneficial for plants as well as animals. Additionally, marine life also gets disturbed when plastic material is disposed into water as a waste. For example, suffocation leads to death for sea creatures. Nevertheless, no doubt plastic usage is responsible for environmental damage but there are other factors also that pollute the ecosystem. Firstly, preference of private vehicles by majority of people results in increase in pollution. Instead of commuting through public or eco-friendly vehicles, commuters are using vehicles, like cars. Not only this, another cause for threat to the environment is deforestation. To explain it more clearly, materialistic and comfortable lifestyle enforces people to consume more luxury items, which in return makes surrounding untidy and occupied as people throw old products and purchase new items. These all activities make environment dirty and pollute the area. To conclude, plastic is not only the greatest risk for environment to control by government and populace, other activities ought to be controlled for clean and green environment.
