The graph illustrates the water consumption for agricultural purposes in two different countries from 2000 to 2010. The two countries are Russia and Australia. Overall, both the countries have experienced a significant rise in the usage of water. Over the years, Australia has seen a steady and consistent increase in water consumption while Russia has shown a more of a volatile figure. In Russia, in the first two years (2000 to 2002) the usage of water is very minimal about only 500m3. After 2002, Russia has seen a steady increase in their water usage. Whereas in Russia, the consumption rate has substancially increased from 2000 to 2003. In next 3 years ( from 2003 to 2007), Russia experienced a drastric reduction in the water usage ranging between 1000 to 1500. The following years has seen a firm increase. The lines of both the countries have intersected in two distinct years, first intersection was in 2006 with 1400m3 and the second in 2008 with 1800m3.

Moreover, 2002 was the turning point where it has shown enormous growth reaching 1200, which was more than doubled till 2005. Since it did not stop there growth was still reaching its peak and by 2010 it was 2000 in cubic meter of water consumption. On the other hand, In 2000, Russia started with1000 which was doubled in consumption as compared to Australia furthermore, consumption got skyrocketed reaching its potential of 1800 which was 80% increase in consumption by 2003. However, from 2003 to 2007 drastric decline was observed with a reduction of 400 units. In addition, From 2007 to 2010 there was a massive increase in consumption by four fifth in ratio reaching 2200 units in total which lead Russia by making him the highest consumption of water for agricultural purpose.

The line graph represents water consumed for agriculture in Australia and Russia from the year 2000 to 2010. The water usage is measured in cubic meters (m3). Overall, water used for agricultural purpose in both countries follows an upward trend in both the countries. On an average Russia has consumed more water compared to Australia. In the year 2000, Australia consumed half the quantity of water than Russia which consumed 1000 cubic meters. Until 2002, Australia consumption of water remained steady just above 500 cubic meters, although after 2002 there was a steady increase in water consumption. On the contrary Russia's water consumption values fluctuated, after the year 2003, when russia was at its peak in 3 years with just below 2000 m3, there was down trend observed till 2007 at about 1250 m3. This figure jumps after 2007, Russia followed an upward trend and matched the values in 2008 at 1750 m3. Although Australia depicted constant growth overall, Russia's water consumption was more than Australia after 2008 which peaked in 2010 over 2000 m3.

To begin with Austraila, the consumption of water was less for agricultural purposes in 2000 as it was only 500 m3, but, by the years usage of water for agriculture increased gradually. Additionally, in the year 2005 the intake of water increased up to 1300 cubic meters and over the years there was an increment of water usage by farmers. Apparently, Australia and Russia had equal usage of water in 2008, it was 1700 m3. However, in 2010 Australia consumed exactly 2000 m3. On the other hand, Russia consumed more water as compared to Australia, in 2000 upto 1000 cubic meters of water was used for farming. There was a gradual increment in usage of water by Russian farmers, by, 2003 they used 1900 cubic meters of water but in 2005 there was a decrease in usage of water as the graph fell down to 1500 and it continued till 2007.
