The graph illustrates the number of male and female athletes who have participated in the olympics since the year 1924. The participants are counted in tousands. Overall, it is visible that the total number of athletes have drastically increased over the years, of which the female athletes are the major reason of growth. The total is combination of male and female participants. A steady growth can be seen in the number of female athletes joining the olympics, which were only 500 in the year 1924, rose to 2000 participants by the year 1984. After which there is a dramatic hike in the number, jumping to a little less than 6000 female participants in the year 2004. Contrastingly, there were 2500 (total 3000) more male participants in the year 1924 compared to female. This quickly rose to 5000 by the year 1944, after which the growth was slow and steady reaching to only 6500 by the year 2004.

In spite of this, from 1944 to 2004 there was a shoot up,hitting 1200 total participants and around 6000 females. A similar acenario can be noticed in case of male participants, with 3000 and rising to nearly 5000 from the year,1924 to 1944. However, the number of participants gradually increased and remained consistent across six decades until reaching a maximum of around 6500.

The line graph illustrates gender wise growth of olymians since its inception in 1924 to 2004, using intervals of 20 years and until being number of participants. Overall, total participants grew steadily, However there is a sudden spike between 1984 to 2004. Though male participants only grew gradually, the reason for the spike could be attributed to the dramatic rise in female participants from 1984. Male participants sarted off at a relatively high base at 3000 participants in 1924 and steadily grew to 5000 by 1944. Thereafter male olympians grew less than 2000 in span of 60 years standing a little over 6000 by 2004. Female particpants had a humble beginning with fewer than 1000 participants in 1924 and the growth was rather sluggish until 1984 when females were a third of male participants in 2000. Inspite of a slow start they narrowed down the gender gap to less than a thousand by 2004. Overall participants grew significantly once between 1924 to 1944 and again from 1984 to 2004 while male participnats contributed to the former, later one should be attributed to female olympians.

The graph depicts the volume of players who have joined the Olympics since its time of commencement. The units are measured in thousands. Overall, it is evident that the number of both male and female players grew in line with each other from the year 1944 to 1984. Amongst the female athletes, there is a steady growth, increasing from less than five hundred to nearly two thousand players in the span of sixty years. Surprisingly, from the year 1984, there is a noticeable peak in the number of female players, reaching approximately six thousand players as they are nearly on par with the number of male athletes for the year 2004. On the other hand, the figures for male participants throughout the year are comparatively higher than those of women players. The numbers have started off from nearly 2,500, increasing by another thousand players in next 20 years and have further displayed slow growth in figures all throughout the years. However, in aggregate, the volume of players go on increasing every 20 years with a heightened figure of precisely 12,000 players participating in the 2004 Olympics.

Overall, the count of male and female participants have notably increased throughout the years. After that, there was a steady increase in the number of male participants reaching a peak of approximately 6300 in 2004. The graph illustrates the trend of Olympics participants since it begun in the year 1924, till the year 2004. It shows the overall, as well as gender-specific pattern of participants entering the event, denoted by a total of three line graphs. The overall number of participants increased from about 3500 participants in 1924, to a grand total of close to 12000 participants in the year 2004. There were two key periods of steep increase in participants, from 1924 to 1944, and a sligtly steeper increase from 1984 to 2004. The overall contribution of male participants has always been significantly higher than that of female participants, up till 2004, where the numbers have almost equalized. There were about 3000 male participants in the first Olympics in 1924, which constituted the majority of the participants that year. There was a slight increase in participants from then to 1944, which resultantly increased the total number of partipants as well. There has been progression in number of male participants across the years post 1944, but the numbers have not had any significant spike or drop. The graph of female participants in the Olympics shows a varying trend, quite different from that of male participants. The first Olympics had just a few hundred participants, and although there is evident progression in numbers of female participants through the years, and at a higher rate than that of male participants, the overall number of female participants has always been much lower than their male counterparts by at least 2000. This did however change between 1984 to 2004, where there was a sharp increase in female players entering, from about 2000 participants in 1984, to close to 6000 in the year 2004, bringing about an almost equally distribution of male and female particpants in the 2004 Olympics, The overall increase of participants can also be attributed to the rise in female particpation in the Olympics. Overall, there has been a large increase of Olympic participants across the years, which initially started with a major male population, and has since evolved to a more even distribution of the genders post the rise in female participation post 1984.

The graph illustrates the number of atheletes of have taken part in the Olympics since 1924 when it was first conducted till 2004. Overall, it is shown that total number of participants has spiked drastically over this span of time. Moreover, the number of male players in the debut years were considerably higher than females and this trend continues to be seen unitl present (2004). However, this number came very close to each other in that last 20 years. It is observed that the number of females in the year 1924 was approximately 700 which had a constant increment over the year until 1984 reaching upto 2000. On the other hand, the number of male athletes in 1924 was comparitively much higher, about 2500 which also continued to increase to 6000 players in 1984. This number then shot up for female athletes by almost 3 times reaching close to 6000 and for men only a small increase was seen which was about 6500 bringing both to only a small difference. Futhermore, we also see the trend of total number of competing athletes starting from about 3000 and doubling to about 6000 by the year 1944. This pace reduced over the next 40 years but added around 2000 players. Additionally, the graph shows a sudden jump in the last 20 years with the numbers going upto 12000 total number of athletes entering in Olympics 2004.

The line graph depicts the Olympic contestants since its commencement in the year 1924, for every 20 years, till 2004. This is categorised by the gender of contestants for making comparisons. Overall, there is a drastic escalation in the total number of participants over the 80 years analysed, from under 4000 to a significant figure of 12000. At first glance, the male demographic reveals a higher proportion compared to females at all times showing a dynamic disparity, which decreases majorly over the years, with a slight gap in 2004. On the one hand, there was a steady increase in female contestants at the same rate till 1984, however, the rate upsurges exponentially from 2000 to 4000 contestants in just one Olympic tournament event. On the other hand, a reverse trend is shown in males. The rate is greater in the beginning years (roughly 3000 to 5000 participants after the first event) to a more gradual growth later touching almost 7000 over 3 Olympic events' periods.
