Yes, Germany offers an 18-month post-study work permit (Job Seeker Visa) for international graduates to find employment related to their degree.

To apply, you must:
- Complete a recognized degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) from a German institution.
- Show proof of funds (at least €11,904 as of 2026, subject to change) to support yourself during your job search.
- Have valid health insurance for the full 18 months.

Apply before your student residence permit expires, ideally as soon as you receive your final results. Submit your application and required documents (passport, degree certificate, proof of funds, health insurance, accommodation) to your local Foreigners' Registration Office.

During these 18 months, you can work in any job while searching for a position related to your field. Once employed in a relevant role, you can apply for a longer-term residence permit, such as the EU Blue Card, which can lead to permanent residency.

If you need help with the application process, your LeapScholar counsellor can guide you through the next steps.
