After the pandemic, the remote working culture has experienced a huge boom. The employers are preferring this work arrangement because it assists them save massive amount of funds on office rentals and utility bills. Moreover, it also helps employees have a better work-life balance. However, as every coin has two sides, the work-from-home culture has its own benefits and ramfication. Looking at the gains, the most convincing reason is that it saves a lot of time of the employees spent on travelling to work every day. The idea is buoyed in the fact that most of the offices are situated in cities, where traffic is a major issue. As a result, it consumes a significant amount of time of the workers, which could have been utilized for a more important task. Additionally, we cannot ignore the reality that people are more productive whenever they are in their comfort zone. Based on a survey, it is concluded that a team of people working on a project were more efficient at their job compared to a team working in an office space. Hence, working online is definitely a good alternative for employees. Nevertheless, I cannot disagree that remote working has its own disadvantages. To begin with, communication can be one of the major problems faced during these kinds of work settings. For instance, in case of urgency, it becomes strenuous to get a reply from your team members, as they are not readily available to clear your doubts. Even more, it also has negative impacts on the emotional quo of the staff. This can be supported by the fact that most of the workers do not interact a lot with their colleagues, which leads to having a shy personality. Therefore, the above-mentioned factors are enough to prove my standpoint. To encapsulate, in the foreseeable future, due to it's commendable advantages, work-from-home settings are expected to expand. Yet, keeping the drawbacks in mind, it is also essential to reduce the negative impacts of virtual working.
