Post COVID, working from home is the preferred mode of operation for many youngsters and even experienced employees. While working from home or office have their own pros and cons, a hybrid approach is better. Sitting in traffic during office rush hour, was beleived to be part of grind. Though everyone use to hate it, it was believed to be a necessary evil everyone has to go through. But post COVID, both employers and employees realised that work from home is a possibility. Post COVID, people realised that remote work could benefit both employees and employers. Employees can cater to daily menial tasks during the day balancing between office and home commitments while saving admistration cost for employers. For e.g. companies can now expect only 60% of office staff to be in office simultaneously and cut down on resources accordingly. This not only helps in better employee satisfaction but also contributes towards environment helping organisations meet their energy saving goals. On the flip side, going to work is the way of collaborating with other people and teams Sitting at home can get lonely at times as online meeings cannot replace experience of face-to-face interactions. Also, collaboration and whiteboarding take a hit as it becomes difficult to share data and discuss on a topic online. In addition, a two minute converstation physicallly would effectively become a 45 minute discussion. This drains out people's energy and time during the day. For e.g, checking availability of couple of member on team could be a whole day task if pople are working from home as they have there calender packed with meetings. In office, you can simply walk up to their seat and get the time right away. . A hybrid work culture, where there is a balance between working from office and working from home will help address the problem holistically.

It has helped employees save a lot of time, in which they can do extra work and it can enhance their overall performance. Employees can work from anywhere in the country, which will generate more employment oppurtunities as their will be no restriction for work location. Laziness can also be one of the biggest disadvantage as their is no proper work environment at home. Family also expects you to help them whenever they need, which impacts deadlines and can lead to poor performance. I would like to conclude by saying that remote work might have many advatnages like reduced commute time, reduced carbon emission, cost reduction in house rent, babysitters. On the contrary, it has many disadvantages also like negative impact on mental health, laziness, lack of proper environment to work which will lead to poor performance management.

Remote working has become a trend now-a-days among most of the working professionals across corporates. It gained populatity during times of corona pandemic and since then it has been the primodial choices among working employees as well as employers. Let us discuss the upsides and downsides of this new way of remote working in this essay. On the one hand, for those who are working distantly at the comfort of their home have flexibility to manage the job timings based on their convenience. They can decide on the time of break especially that of lunch as per their own schedule depending on the type and urgency of work. Other factor that makes this kind of work culture an elusive option for employees is that they can handle any kind of personal emergency with a lot of ease as they are already working from home. Also, some studies have shown that perfomance of many employees who are currently working from home has improved in contrast to their earlier performance while working from office. There are lot of employers who prefer to have their workers working remotely. For example, comapanies like IBM, HP, Accenture give higher preferences to remote working of their employees. On the other hand, there are group of individuals who prefer to work from within the office premises. They believe that working isolated does not give a feeling of professionalism. Furthermore, they think that working from home will hinder the work-life balance of the working people. Also, contrastingly, the performance of those people who performed better within office premises was adversely impacted if they started to work in isolation. When a survey was conducted to know the cause of this effects, it was found that these people were not getting the feeling of office enviroment which is impacting their work performance. Due to this some firms have compulsated office coming of their work-force like for example, TCS, Infosys. To conclude, remote working has both advantages as well as disadvantages but, it is up to the professional individuals to use it in the most appropriate way without impacting their job.

The internet has made it possible for employees to work from their homes. This phenomenon took off during the days when CORONA prevailed all over the world. This gave the employers an idea that it was possible for their employees to stay home and have an effective contribution to their work. The idea of remote working is equally liked both by employers and employees for various reasons. The former like it because they don't have to have huge offices to accomodate their staff, and they can save some budget. For the latter, it is convenient, and they can enjoy working from the relaxing homes. In addition, remote working saves them transportation expenditures. Although there are some benifits of remote working for the employees, there are some substantial disadvantages attached to this working style. Firslty, workig from home can result in making serious mistakes because of lack of concentration. Moreover, employees cannot have an immediate feedback on their work as there is little collaboration. It is very hard to keep a close coordination among all the workers while they work from their own remote places. In addition, it may affect their interpersonal skills negatively if people work alone. In conclusion, we can say that although remote working has got some benifits, both for employers and employess, it also has certain unavoidable attached issues, such as possibility of commiting errors without instant correction, lack of colloboration and loss of interpersonal skills. In my view the benifits of remote working are more than its disadvantages.

In recent times, work from home is a growing trend among both workers and employers. There are several advantages and disadvantages to it. One merit to it is , it saves time while the demerit is that it can reduce the real-time interaction with colleagues. In my opinion advantages outnumbers the drawbacks. Firstly, people are adopting to work remotely because it provides various benefits, such as, it is time saving. For example, according to the recent studies, on an average people spend atleast one hour daily travelling at work, this time can be utilised by the employee for increasing productivity. Moreover, commuting drains energy from individual making them feel exhausted. Furthermore, it also reduces commute expenses. Therefore, remote working is prefered by many individuals. However, this trend can also result in some drawbacks, like, the employee may not get opportunities to interact with colleagues and employers face-to-face. This will reduce the bonding and connections among the workers. Additionally, there will no brain storming sessions for idea generation which only possible in workplace. This activities enhnance the enthusiasm and increases productivity. For instance, it has been found in various serveys that cooperate workers who are employed remotely are now lagging behind due to lack of motivation. For this reason, working remotely can have few ill effect on the employees, such as working capabilities which may lead to hinderance in promotions and further growth. In conclusion, there are many pros to remote jobs for a working professional such as saving time and commute expense. However, the merits outweighs the demerits.

Nowadays, the trend of remote working is gaining popularity among employees as well as employers. While this trend offers significant advantages for the employees, such as work life balance and reduction in commute expenses, it also presents challanges like drop in efficiency due to unavailability of suitable environment and lack of socialization. This essay will discuss both the merits and demerits of this trend. On the one hand, the opportunity of remote working gives employees a sense of freedom and by keeping themselves near to the family originate a feeling of healthy work life balance. Furthermore, working remotely gives an advantage to avoid travel, which helps in reducing a big chunk of travel expense. These merits seed a sense of job satisfaction results in retantion of employees for a longer duration. For example, a recent survey demonstrates the level of job satisfaction between remote working employees and the office employees, which depicts a surge in job satisfaction level among remote working employees as compared to the office employees. On the other hand, despite the advantages, remote work comes with significant challenges. The lack of working environment and the presence of family members reduces individual's focus and work efficiency and may impact the overall performace level. Secondly, remote work comes with a social distance with the team members, which impacts the team's bond and reduces teamwork abilities at a quantifiable scale. To conclude, while healthy work life balance and lighter expenses are the advantages of remote working, it also poses chllanges such as lack of work environment and socializing opportunities. To balance, I believe hybrid work module may give an oppotunity to weigh the merits and demerits and to help individuals to make a decision.

During the pandemic era, many organisations were struggling to call employees to office due to covid restrictions. That introduced the concept of remote or hybrid working for employees. Since then it has been widely preferred by most employees and their employers. This concept opened wide opportunities for organisations to meet their targets without compromising the safety of employees. It also introduced flexible working hours for employees. For example, I remember that both my parents were infected because of Covid, but remote working helped me alot to manage and take care of them while keeping a track on my job responsibilities. It provided flexible working hours which promoted better work-life balance and enhanced productivity of employees. In contrast to the perks associated with this concept, there are some cons attached too. As there were no defined working hours, employees were supposed to be on call 24x7 which meant early or late night teams call. This interrupted with one's sleep cycle and also increased stress levels. I can recall an incident where I was having a very important meeting but due to sudden electricity outage, my internet stopped working and my call was disrupted. This brings me to another disadvantage associated with it and that is ensuring no network hinderance during working hours, which was quite difficult to achieve. In my opinion, remote working is more preferable as it helps in managing your personal and professional goals simultaneously. It opens better opportunities for working mothers with infants who do not have to compromise with their work and can take of their child at the same time by staying at homes. The concept of remote working has some better advantages which outweighs its disdvantages.

With rapid growth in technology, the workplace dynamics have changed over the past few years. Employees now a days favour working from their homes and employers also would rather want the employess to do so. I will dicuss some merits and demerits of employess working from home. First of all, the biggest perk of working online is not having to travel to office, especially avoiding the morning rush hours, which is a great way to save on fuel as well. With the current out of control traffic, working from home comes as a blessing. This not only helps to avoid travel time but also conserve the amount spent on fuel. Moreover, this also saves the employees the hassle of wearing the formal office attire. They can work in the comfort of their own homes in their comfortable pajamas. However, remote working comes with its downside as well. Firstly, the employees are using their own utilities, for instance, internet. Domestic internet servers are not that fast, as compared to commercial servers used in the offices, are unable to handle heavy office apps and files. Therefore, impacting the work efficiency of the employee. Additionally, it becomes difficult to coordinate between teams working on the same project and follow-up of progress becomes a headache for the employer. As most employees might not follow routine office hours making it harder to collaborate between team members. Thus, making it harder to meet the deadlines. In conclusion, I believe that there is no correct way to go about in terms of office workers. Given the fuel hike and traffic congestion, remote working along with scheduled office meetings can benefit both employer and the employees.

In contemprorary era, majority of the people and organisations give preference to virtual work, which is particularly due to flexible working hours and limited expenses. To embark on, the primary advantage of telecommuting work is that it provides employee autonomy to work according to their own schedule and environment. Precisely, folks can able to do job anytime along with their house work. In other words, it is beneficial for women especially housewifes, who are becoming multitasking and able to earn income along with doing household chores. Apart from this, telework helps to reduce commuting stress and expenditure since individual do not require money and time to spend on travelling to their workplace. Consequentaly, sense of freedom and ownership encourage people to do telework efficientally. On the other hand, there are also certain drawbacks of remote working. One of the predominant one is that employers face challenges in communication and collaboration with employees because explaining everything in-person is more effective than communicating via emails and text messages. Furthermore, some employees struggled to set boundaries between work and personal life. To be more precise, a home is a place many associate with leisure, so it may easy to get distracted by family members and household chores. Eventually, non-traditional working hours may loose the focus and not providing sense of accomplishment to employee. In conclusion, there is a wide range of upsides and downsides linked with remote working, however, to a employee with limited access to communication and collaboration, they do not seem like a better alternative to work inside any organization.
