Which documents each exemption needs

Bachelor's or PhD applicants can use their degree program's acceptance or admission offer letter. Exchange or partnership program students need a confirmation letter from their home institution or the German partner institution, plus their group number. Field-based exemptions require your degree certificate and official transcript showing the exact program title. Cutoff-date exemptions need your APS online registration confirmation, a courier or shipment receipt, or your issued APS certificate, each dated before 29 June 2026.

Why you should keep everything

Keep every one of these documents. A date that looks trivial today can matter later if APS India needs proof of exactly when your process began, and reconstructing it after the fact is far harder than filing it away now.
