Can I take the dMAT exam remotely or from home instead of visiting a physical test centre?
No. The dMAT is only available at licensed physical test centres in India, and there is no remote or at-home testing option at present. This is why picking a genuinely reachable city matters as much as picking a convenient date, so factor travel time into your planning early.
No, not currently. The dMAT is only available at licensed physical test centres in India, and there is no remote or at-home testing option for this exam at present.
Why Centre Choice Matters
This is part of why picking a genuinely reachable city matters as much as picking a convenient date. Since you cannot test from your laptop, the location itself becomes a logistics decision, not just a convenience one.
Plan Your Travel Early
Factor travel time into your planning early rather than assuming you can test from home. Building in the journey to a physical centre, and a buffer if you are coming from another city, protects your test date from last-minute disruption.
My Advice
Plan your travel to your chosen test centre city at least a week ahead of the exam, including a buffer day if you need to travel from a different city. Do not assume you can sort logistics the night before, since this is not a from-home exam.
