Are B.Sc. Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Agriculture degrees exempt from dMAT?

Yes. Per the official APS India Affected Fields List, B.Sc. Biotechnology, Pharmacy, and Architecture (B.Arch.) are not automatically included under the dMAT requirement. Agriculture is also excluded unless the degree is specifically titled Agricultural Engineering.

The one exception to watch for

There is a notable exception. If a B.Arch holder is applying to a management program rather than an architecture program, some guidance recommends selecting the Business, Commerce & Finance subject module rather than assuming exemption. Always confirm your classification against the target program, not just your original degree title.

Why the target program matters
