After completion of study, how many years of post-study work visa will the student get in the USA?

In the USA, international students on an F-1 visa can work after graduation through the OPT (Optional Practical Training) program.

- 12 months OPT: Available for most graduates in their field of study.
- 36 months OPT: If your degree is in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field, you may qualify for a 24-month STEM extension, totaling up to 36 months.
