- Post-study work visa (Stamp 1G): After a master's, you can stay up to 24 months; after a bachelor's, up to 12 months. You can work full-time during this period.
- Employment permit: Use this time to secure a job that qualifies for either a Critical Skills Employment Permit (faster route, typically 21 months to PR) or a General Employment Permit (usually 5 years to PR).
- Permanent residency (Stamp 4): Once you meet the employment permit requirements, you can apply for Stamp 4, which allows you to live and work in Ireland without restrictions.
