Who can be my sponsor for showing financial proof for the visa?
You can show financial proof for your U.S. student visa through several types of sponsors:
- Personal funds: You can use your own savings with recent bank statements.
- Family sponsors: Parents or close relatives can sponsor you. They'll need to provide an affidavit of support, bank statements, and proof of income, clearly stating their relationship to you and the support amount.
- Education loan: A sanctioned education loan from a recognized bank is accepted if it covers at least your first year’s tuition and living costs.
- Scholarships/fellowships: Official award letters for any scholarships or fellowships can also be used.
All documents must be recent, in English, and clearly show the account holder’s name. Be ready to explain any large transactions.
