When is the next dMAT exam after September 2026?

If the September 2026 sitting does not work for your timeline, you are not out of options, but you will need to wait a few months. The next dMAT exams are on 16 January 2027 and 13 March 2027.

Known Timeline So Far

Planning Around An Unconfirmed Date

• g.a.s.t. has confirmed the 2027 exam dates as 16 January 2027 and 13 March 2027; check d-mat.de or the g.a.s.t. portal for fees, test centers, and rules.

• There is no on demand or rolling testing, so you cannot book a custom date if you miss September 2026.

• A first quarter 2027 result may arrive too late for some Summer Semester 2027 application deadlines, so check with your target universities directly.

My Advice

If the September 2026 date genuinely will not work, start checking d-mat.de every few weeks from late 2026 onward for the confirmed 2027 date, and email your target universities now to ask how a first quarter 2027 result would affect your intake options.
