It depends on the country - PR (permanent residency) routes differ for the UK and New Zealand after a master's degree.

UK:
- After your master's, you can apply for a Graduate Visa (post-study work visa, PSW) to stay and work for up to 2 years (subject to change).
- To qualify for PR, you must switch to a Skilled Worker Visa by securing a job with a licensed sponsor and meet salary/skill requirements.
- You can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR, a pathway to PR) after 5 years on a qualifying work visa.

New Zealand:
- After your master's, you can apply for a Post Study Work Visa (up to 3 years, subject to change).
- Secure a skilled job related to your qualification and earn at or above the median wage.
- Apply for residency under the Skilled Migrant Category (SMC) by meeting the required points (for job offer, experience, qualifications).
- After 2 years on a resident visa, you may be eligible for a Permanent Resident Visa.
