What is the intake schedule for masters programs in Ireland?

Ireland has two main intakes for master's programs:

- September (Autumn) intake: This is the primary intake, offering the widest range of programs and most scholarship opportunities. Application deadlines are typically from February to June.
- January (Spring) intake: Fewer universities and courses are available. Deadlines usually fall between August and November.

A rare May (Summer) intake exists, but it is limited to a few private colleges and short-term courses.

If you prefer the January intake, check if your chosen program is offered then, as many start only in September. Visa processing usually takes 8 - 12 weeks, so plan accordingly.
