The main differences between UK student and work visa applications are in fees and required steps.

Fees (subject to change):
- Student visa: £524 application fee, £776/year Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS)
- Work visa (Skilled Worker): £719 (up to 3 years) or £1,420 (over 3 years) application fee, £1,035/year IHS

Process:
- Student visa: Requires an unconditional offer and Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from a UK institution, proof of funds, English proficiency, and a biometric appointment.
- Work visa: Requires a job offer and Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) from a UK employer, proof of funds, English proficiency, and a biometric appointment.

Visa fees and IHS amounts are current but subject to change. If you need help with your application, your LeapScholar counsellor can guide you.
